Family Hub

Delete your account

You can delete your Family Hub account in a web browser. You do not need to install or reinstall the app.

How to delete your account

  1. Sign in with your Family Hub username and password.
  2. Open Settings → Household → Delete my account.
  3. Enter your password and type DELETE to confirm.
  4. Select Permanently delete. This cannot be undone.

If you are signed out, sign in first, then return to Household settings. Forgot your password? Use your recovery code.

Need help or cannot sign in?

Email hello@joinfamilyhub.com with the subject Family Hub account deletion and your Family Hub username. We will verify that the account belongs to you before deleting it.

Do not send your password or recovery code. You can request deletion by email even if you no longer have the app.

If you own the household

You can transfer ownership to another adult in Household settings before deleting only your account. If you want to remove the whole household, select Delete the entire household and all its accounts when confirming.

Deleting the whole household also deletes other members’ accounts and shared records. Download any plans you want to keep using Download household data before confirming.

What is deleted and what stays

Your account: your account record, including your name, username, sign-in credentials and recovery information, plus your push subscriptions and personal notification preferences, is removed from the active database when deletion succeeds.

Shared household information: calendars, lists, meals, recipes, routines, rewards, notices and family profiles remain available to the other household members. Deleting your account alone does not erase shared plans. These remain until removed by the household or until the whole household is deleted.

Whole household: all household accounts and shared application records, including stored household subscription records, are removed from the active database when deletion succeeds. There is no additional waiting period in the application’s deletion flow.

Deletion removes active application records. Copies in hosting logs or database backups are managed separately; contact support for information about these copies.

Plus subscriptions and saved device data

Deleting a Family Hub account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel Plus separately in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Google controls its purchase records.

Before deleting, remove any saved offline copy on this device using Settings → This device. Browser-saved copies on other devices are separate from the active database.
